Today I am a writer, editor and marketer with a passion for bringing stories to life.
“An ordinary girl with extraordinary dreams” — that was the tagline I used to use on my blogs when I was in my late teens and early 20s. Like many millennials, my first foray into the Internet involved a lot of early platforms and social media (LiveJournal! MySpace!) before it was “Social Media”. I learned HTML coding from the precocious Lissa Explains It All and was writing my own CSS before I knew it. Honestly, at the time I didn’t think much of my hobbies.
But in this day and age I have found myself as a B2B agency marketer with more than a decade of experience. I’ve been lucky enough to produce and launch podcasts, write cover features, travel overseas for press trips, pitch marketing decks and interview some really cool people. The highlight of my career is probably when Tina Fey acknowledged my existence at an airport where we were both leaving the same content marketing conference.
